The reactions to my previous post were quite interesting.
Most clearly empathized with the frustration part of the post. I believe
this reflects the power of storytelling. And that pain can be shared in
text… (sounds familiar?)
Sue Crutcher,
certified Personal Trainer, Lifestyle Coach and
Steve Chambers, Sales Trainer and Coach gave very thorough comments
and advice. In fact, they could use them as material for very valuable posts
on their own blogs. Babysitting, Childcare, Nanny, Baby Care Expert Lisa
McLellan also had some great insights.
Overall, it seems that everyone has their own personal de-stressing routine.
Thank you all for sharing yours.
The common theme seems to be: stop, breathe, and break the thought
pattern. Pretty neat.
Incidentally, I embellished the story a bit in yesterday’s post. I wasn’t quite
as stressed as it sounded, but I just love to tell a story to introduce my point.
Oh! I nearly forgot…
The flight was not at all the experience I was expecting…
It was very, very different.
In fact, I am still in London.
After 2 attempts to take off… And keeping over 300 passengers roasting in the
plane for 5 hours… while trying to fix technical issues… United had to cancel
the flight.
This was not handled in the most professional manner – especially considering
no-one had had any food for several hours – but that’s a whole story in itself.
At least, we’ll all be boarding again tomorrow, 23 hours later than the original
take-off time. Let’s see how United handles their 300 stranded passengers…
And let’s hope the aircraft has been fixed by then!
